Ahhh Ke$ha,
yes the pop singer with a dollar sign in
her name started her first headliner
tour at the Showbox SODO in February of 2011 with her Get $leazy Tour. She returned in September playing the larger WAMU Theater in a larger more polished show!!! (Polished and Ke$ha in the same sentence?) I thoroughly enjoyed her first show in the Showbox SODO Pit >> Ke$ha ~
Get $leazy Tour ISo I had to see her again!!!
Ke$ha came on the
scene in 2009 when she sang the round in Flo Rida's number one single, "Right
Round." She soon had a mega solo hit Tik Tok and the release of her first
album Animal. Ke$ha has a unique voice
that sounds likes she's "having a good time".
A heavy dance beat with crazy "sleazy" lyrics make
the persona Ke$ha! Her second album Cannibal was released last November 2010 with the
chart-topping lead single, "We
R Who We R".
LMFAO, yes, it stands for what you think it does... Laugh My Fricking Ass Off, opened for Ke$ha. They were riding the top of the charts around the world with their mega hit "Party Rock Anthem"!!!! .....everyday I'm shuffling!! This electro pop group includes DJ RedFoo (Stefan Gordy), the son of the American record producer and Motown founder Berry Gordy.
In 2006, Redfoo and his nephew SkyBlu (Skyler Gordy) formed the group LMFAO. Together they created a sound called "Party Rock". Their first single "I'm in Miami Bitch", was released on MySpace in December 2008 off their EP titled "Party Rock".
In July 2011 they released their second EP "Sorry for Party Rocking" with their first single "Party Rock Anthem" went #1 in eight countries and hit #3 in both the U.S. and Canada. It was soon followed with the second single "Champange Showers" and their third single, "Sexy and I Know It", released on October 3rd, 2011 and reached #1 on the iTunes charts worldwide and #1 on the Australian and Canadian Hot 100!!!!
Front Stage Ed took my extra ticket and he had to stand sideways to let the kids behind him see the performance too! :)) The WAMU Theater filled up fast and we didn't fight to get to the very front, but close enough and more comfortable. :))
When LMFAO took the stage, they tore the place apart! The second song was "Sorry For Party Rocking" and that got the place a rocking!!! LMFAO was outrageous! "Sexy and I Know It" wasn't yet released as a single so it was fresh and shocking! :)) Party Rock Anthem blew the top off and the band had several Beer Bongs during their last song Shots!
LMFAO was exciting as their dancers and rappers worked the whole stage. The Shuffle Bots were out shuffling too! Even after all that excitement.... the crowd was ready for Ke$ha!!
We got closer to the stage for Ke$ha (Kesha Rose Sebert)... She played basically the same set list as the start of her tour in February but the stage was much more elaborate. She once again put on a high energy concert set feeding from her two albums, Animal and Cannibal. It was a more polished set, evident of the months of touring and she sounded great!! At the end the glitter guns went off and glittered us in the pit! She also go the big piñata out again and
candy and Ke$ha Condoms popped out!
